Daniel's diet

Hi everyone.
I know this might be kind of boring to you all, but I need a way to hold myself accountable.

Here is what is happening. I began praying in November about what diet God wanted me to follow. I couldn't overcome cravings for sugar and salt or the need to have a caffienated drink everyday. Later that day the answer came which was Daniel's Diet.

I did some research on the web as to what this entails and low and behold there was already a book. There are several out there that are structured around Daniel's diet in Daniel 1, but only one was actually called "Daniel's Diet". The exact words that the Lord used with me. So I ordered the book. Its not actually found in the US anywhere. You can only order online from Australia. Which I know sounds a little shady, but after having read the book its pretty right on with everything I've been hearing from other authors on the subject.

So I've been procrastinating and procrastinating and now its time to just do it. There will be a week and half prep time. And then 10 days of "fasting". Then a diet of moderation. I will be journaling here everyday my progress, struggles and confessions, and any thing else that I may need to bring to light. I hope that you will walk with me through all of this.

If you would like to literally walk with me and get the book and do this diet, the website is www.danielsdiet.com
I do have to warn you... this like any other diet will only work temporarily unless you are willing to change your food lifestyle.

One more thing... Please leave comments. But if you want to try discourage me, even if you think its for my own good, don't bother.

Tomorrow is day one of prep... Pray for me.

God is a jealous God

I recently watched a video of Oprah talking about her enlightenment that the bible is wrong and the preacher she was listening to was wrong because he said that God was a Jealous God. Her question was how can God be all of these things and be jealous of me.

Here is the answer. God is not jealous of you. He is jealous for you. He has done all these wonderful things for you. Yet you worship other things, money, power, career, even your family, church or yourself. He wants your full devotion.

It would be like if you raised up your child. Cared for him/her. Loved him/her. Gave him/her water and food. Clothed them. Read to them at night. And they started calling the woman down the street mom and started treating her like a mom should treated. A woman they didn't even know. Someone that they couldn't trust. Someone that didn't feed them or clothe them or rush to wash their cuts when they fell down. What would you think about that? Would you be happy about that? Or would you correct them and say that is not your mom, I'm your mom.

So if you call yourself god. Then yes God is jealous of you. You were created for worship. You will worship something. Will you worship the God that protects you, cares for you, feeds you, clothes you.

I love God. Jesus and Jesus alone is the savior of the world. He is the only Way the only truth and the only life. He said “If you abide in me, you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free.”

Lord Jesus come quickly and show yourself as God. Reveal yourself to the world and get glory and honor for yourself.

The Departed

Movie Review:

Great movie. A lot of swearing, violence and such. But what do you expect from a Rated R gangster movie. No nudity really though.

The ending left me wondering, why did they call it "The Departed." LOL.

More picks from the puppy trip

Vive la Mexico!
Point Isabella Light House
Remember the Alamo!

It was a long weekend, with about 16 hours of driving total. But well worth the effort for a new addition to my house. Her name is Lilu!

No puppies at the alamo

Well there might have been 3000 mexicans at the alamo, but they didn't bring their puppies. There are no dogs allowed on the property. We were very promptly asked to leave when the officer noticed the little chihuahua in my mom's arms. So Little bit and I stayed across the street in the park. Never the less, Little Bit will always remember the Alamo!
